Skinny is one of the leading telecoms operators in New Zealand. 1.Skinny‘s Certification Requirements and Frequency Bands
Skinny currently operates 3 types of wireless networks, 5G NR, 4G LTE, 3G WCDMA, 3G WCDMA is scheduled to be closed by the end of 2025.
All IOT devices that need to access Skinny network need to be certified by Skinny, so that such IOT modules or devices can be compatible with Skinny network, and all modules and devices certified by Skinny IOT/M2M must support software air port upgrade.
2. Skinny test fee and cycle
Skinny test cost is divided into two parts, co-ordinated by Shamlight, there are generally two parts, respectively, lab test cost, and Skinny application fee.
Skinny certification cycle 6-8 weeks.
3.Skinny certification test before the attention of the notes
3.1. The certified device needs to have an exposed RF port and be able to insert a Skinny physical SIM card.
3.2. Need to prepare all kinds of compliance reports and statements.
4.Skinny certification process
4.1. Conduct business communication, prepare all the necessary information before sending the test, and send the product samples to the lab to be tested.
4.2.Lab will conduct compliance test on the prototype according to the specification.
4.3. Provide the regulatory test report of the product.
4.4. Deeplight assists the manufacturer in submitting the application, which will be in the processing queue.
4.5. When the product meets all the requirements, it will be awarded Skinny certification.
