The 5G Sub-6GHz/5G millimeter wave SAR test and 5G CE/FCC SAR test standard
1. Classification of 5G SAR? How to distinguish 5G Sub-6GHz from 5G millimeter wave
The frequency range of 5G NR is defined as different FR, FR1 and FR2, respectively. The frequency range FR1 is the frequency band of 5G Sub-6GHz(6GHz (below 6ghz), while the frequency range FR2 is 5G millimeter wave, with a frequency range of 24.25GHz-52.6GHz
Frequency range name |
Corresponding frequency range |
FR1 |
450MHz-6000MHz |
FR2 |
24250MHz-52600MHz |
2. The 5G millimeter wave SAR test environment requirements
Temperature: 18~25℃, and the temperature change of tissue fluid shall not exceed 2℃ during measurement;
Humidity: 35% ~ 80%;
Electromagnetic noise is less than 0.012W/kg (the lower detection limit is 3% of 0.4W/kg);
The wireless communication device under test cannot be connected to the local public communication network;
The influence of reflection, auxiliary RF transmitter, etc. should be less than 3% of the measured SAR value.
Scanning system specification requirements
Technical requirements: See IEC 62209/IEEE 1528-2013 for positioning accuracy and positioning resolution.
Specification requirements of manikin
See IEC 62209-1/-2 for shape, size and material.
