Is the product that has been eliminated 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1 Bluetooth version unable to apply for BQB certification?
Recently, I often encounter some inquiries from customers: The version of my Bluetooth product is 4.1. I heard that it cannot pass the certification now? then what should we do? Can‘t you get a certificate to ship it? !
Now the Bluetooth standard has been upgraded to the latest version 5.1, 5.0, and 4.2. These are the versions recommended by the Bluetooth SIG organization. Low-version Bluetooth products refer to Bluetooth versions 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, and 4.1. Starting from January 28, 2019, the Bluetooth SIG organization has withdrawn these low-version Bluetooth products from the market, and they will be officially discarded after the withdrawal time The time, 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1, the discarded time of these Bluetooth versions is:
2020-07-01 2.1
2020-07-01 3.0
2022-02-01 4.0
2023-02-01 4.1
After giving up the time, you will not be able to apply for any certification at all.
Then, during the period from the time of withdrawing from the market to the time of abandonment, can these eliminated Bluetooth version products 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, and 4.1 not be certified at all? The answer is: it depends!
According to the bluetooth architecture, the protocol is layered from RF, RF-PHY, BB, LL, LMP, SM, L2CAP, GAP, GATT, ATT to A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, etc.
For 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1 Bluetooth products with complete protocol stacks, you can still apply for BQB certification during this period. For 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1 Bluetooth products with incomplete protocol stacks, start from January 28, 2019 It is already completely necessary to withdraw from the market, and cannot apply for a new Bluetooth BQB certification.
If you happen to have 2.1, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1 Bluetooth products that are currently being eliminated, please contact Shenguang Standard to check the integrity of the protocol stack and see if you can apply for Bluetooth BQB certification.
Deeplight Technology conducts Bluetooth BQB certification all the year round. Customers are welcome to consult relevant test certification at any time.
