Google Lens Testing Certification under Google GMS Certification

1.What is Google Lens?

Google Lens, also known as Google Smart Lens, essentially utilizes the camera of your phone for searching and recognizing the world. When you point your phone‘s camera at an object, Google Lens attempts to identify it and displays relevant search results and information. For instance, when you aim your phone‘s camera at a flower, it provides search results indicating what type of flower it is, along with other related links found on the internet. Apart from recognition-based searches, Google Lens also enables real-time translation and homework assistance.

2.Is Google Lens a mandatory test item for Google GMS certification?

Google Lens is not a mandatory test item within the GMS certification. It applies only to mobile devices, and if a device is equipped with the Google Lens feature, then it requires additional testing. However, this certification cannot be pursued independently.

3.How to operate and use Google Lens?

Google Lens is not exclusive to Android devices; iOS devices can also utilize it. For iOS devices, simply search for the [GOOGLE] app on the App Store, download, and install it to use Google Lens. Android devices typically come pre-installed with the Google app, so you can simply open the app and click on the camera to use it.
